I'm breathless when I see this picture. Not so much because it's the best one ever, but I can NOT believe those legs are attached to MY.LITTLE.GIRL! When did the tiny baby that I carried in my womb grow such long legs? When did she become such a little girl? Where is my toddler??
I'm not sure what toys are favorites at your house, but from infancy, M has enjoyed playing in the laundry basket. When she was tiny, she loved to be in the laundry basket (as in, she's on the floor and the laundry basket is inverted on top of her). Because we live in a two story house, I often put her on top of the clean clothes and carried her up the stairs when it was time to put away laundry. Recently, the love of the laundry basket was been ignored. Friday afternoon, I came into my room to find M in the laundry basket as she enjoyed a little TV. Doesn't look that comfy to me, but whatever she likes.
For other MBS, make sure to visit Tracey.
PS: Don't you love her new shoes?

Ohhhh I love how you used to carry her upstairs IN the basket. Sweet shot. She does have super long legs...dig those cute shoes and lacy socks :)
Oh, sweet shot Natalie! Her new shoes look so very cute on her. :)
Congrats on being a new aunt, too! What a little cutie!
Yeah, I'm not sure what the allure of laundry baskets is either, but my little ones loves to sit in them too. Cute shot of the legs swinging over the edge. :)
KayTar was in ours last night, she said, "I'm a little birdie and this is my nest. Tweet! Tweet!"
I've been blindsided by their growth before. Like, when did this happen?!
Oh Natalie! I adore this in every way! It's a great shot, and the perspective does make her legs look so loooong...but even more, I love the story behind it. Rock on, mama!
That is beyond cute. Love those long legs and the peek at her sweet face. What a great capture.
Holy legs! Those are some seriously long ones that she has. And I loved to play in laundry baskets when I was little too...nothing like an easy, cheap toy that is always around!
She DOES have long legs! I just read the previous few posts. When I was in graduate school I had to do a research project on a little girl who was in a similar situation and she, too, had to wear similar shoes. Her mother would put on sparkley shoe laces and fancy decorations to make the shoes different in a "different" way. And her mom would always call them "her wings". She would say, "You wings will take you far today."
hee! I STILL LOVE her shoes and adorable socks! She needs to share a little length with my petite girl! :o) Seriously, she's like 4 inches taller! H thinks we should just give them baskets and boxes and let them go to town. Maybe he has a *slight* point. :o)
My daughter loves to do the same thing with the laundry basket. And how they grow while we are not looking is beyond me. Great capture.
My kids would play with the laundry basket upturned so that it made a cage over their heads. They loved boxes, too.
I've enjoyed browsing through your blog. Your daughter is adorable.
my 5 yr old still plays with the laundry basket, i guess because she's so little and still fits in it! LOL....
I love her little shoes, I had those as a kid. Cute picture!
that is a cute capture - you'll always remember her laundry-basket days now -
my little toddler girl is growing up so fast too.
Look at those big girl legs!! Harrison has a thing for laundry baskets too! I have shots of him watching TV in it or under it outside on the porch because he wanted private time to - "poo-poo"!
She has super model legs!!!!!!
And I have tons of pics of the BA in the laundry basket!! SO cute.
