This tender little blossom turns a whole city pink. Doorways are decked with vibrant pink bows, wreaths adorn lamp posts and entryways, trees drip with delicious pink goodness. An entire city unites for 9 days, forgetting troubles and worries. Children laugh and run, faces painted, arms thrown wide as the blossom snow down on them.
This is my absolute favorite time of year around here. When the cherry blossoms are in bloom, the whole world feels alive with hope and excitement. This is truly a little gift from God--a reminder, at the end of a dreary winter, that hope abounds.

I am really noticing blossoms this year---makes me want to get down to DC one of these years to truly enjoy cherry blossoms. Great shot!
How beautiful and magical! I would love to experience it one day.
so very lovely! Happy Spring!
Pretty! Love the contrast between the white blossoms and the blue sky.
We have a flowering cherry in our front yard. It's so gorgeous when it blooms. We don't get blooming until the end of April or beginning of May though. I'll have to get some photos then!
I love blossoming trees. I cant get enough of them. What a beautiful shot!
Ah, I can almost smell them! I can't wait for our apple blossoms to bloom! Nice image!
