Phrase Friday

A few sweet phrases from this week:

We had a good little storm yesterday afternoon. Afterwards, we let M stomp around in the mud puddles and play with the hose in the backyard. We decided to go for a walk down the street to find more puddles. I noticed that her diaper was completely full of water and VERY saggy.
"M, your diaper is FULL of water!"
"Mommy, you're just kidding me!"

She was helping clean up after making a stepping stone with Nona and her important job was to fill the bucket with water (from the previous mentioned hose). She was mumbling to herself when we heard her say, "Whew...dish ish hawd work!" (This is hard work!)

My parents have a terror cat named Happy. M just usually calls her "kitty cat." The other evening, I said "M, there is Happy!" to which she replied "Dere goes Happy Feet cat!" Can you guess what our "fravorite" movie is right now?

Before naps yesterday, M and I were snuggling in my bed. She rolled over and fell off the bed. "Why you pulled me down?" she asked when she popped up.

Phrase Friday

I'm going to make myself a notebook this weekend because there were several phrases this week that I wanted to share, but they escape me as I'm trying to remember now.



Here is one from school. S is student (wearing a short sleeve shirt button all the way to his neck and a Valentine's Day tie).

S: Mrs. Benson, I wore this tie so you could take my picture.

Me: Take your picture for what?

S: To put it on the dotcom.

Me: (I busted out laughing) WHAT?

S: I wore this tie so you could take my picture and put it on the dotcom.



He wanted his picture on our class website, otherwise known as the dotcom.



If I remember sweet M's sayings, I'll edit after school. What fun things have you heard this week?

Phrase Friday

I had TONS of phrases, but of course because my life is so complicated, I couldn't remember any of them when I started to post this morning.

However, M, in her completely cute way, has given me a few things to write about now.

She wore a completely cute dress today and needed to wear tights with it. When I was helping her get dressed, I said, "M, let's put your tights on now."
"Types?" she said.
"No, tights" I replied with some emphasis on the T at the end.
"Oh, types. Okay. My wear types today."
They were the cutest types I've ever seen, that's for sure.

We ran a few errands after work today to get ready for the weekend. I called H on the way and she wanted to talk to Daddy. They talked for a good while before I took the phone away. H and I hung up, but M still wanted to talk to her daddy. So I just handed her the disconnected phone.
"Daddy?"
"Daddy?"
"DADDY?"
"Mommy...that phone BWOKE!"
Anything that doesn't work is bwoke. Just ask her about her paci. It's stil bwoke.

Phrase Friday is Back

Yeah!! Finally I'm organized enough to do a Phrase Friday!!!

M's newest phrase:
My do it!
examples: My close the door. My type. My pour.
I'm not sure if this comes from my prompting her to say "May I close the door?"
At any rate, it's the sweetest thing.

Not really a phrase, but a cute story. Yesterday we were on our way to the gym (yes, two days in a row). We were listening to the radio and there was a song about Jesus. The artist said Jesus and love in the same phrase (but NOT Jesus loves me). M said, "Mommy, Jesus yuv Mer-eet?" (Mommy, does Jesus love Meryt?)

Yes, sweet girl, He loves you so very, very much.
