This is the last week of school. I'm not as excited about losing this class as I was last year's class, but I am ready for them to go. It's amazing how I feel that at the end of every year. Our time together is over and it is time for them to move on.
I'm moving on, too. I have lots of projects I want to complete this summer.
I need to get back to simplify. I've gotten better about not over committing (too much). I have NOT gotten better about decluttering. As soon as I get one hot spot cleared up, it's messy again. I do not want M to grow up in a messy, embarrassing home. I hope to get the house cleaned out and under control this summer. I want to hire a house keeper to come in twice a month next school year. That will help a lot, I think.
I need to scrapbook and make an effort to get caught up. I know I'll never be completely caught up, but I'd like to feel like I got something done. I've joined two scrapbook classes online that I am so excited about.
I need to be still and spend time with the Lord.
I need to get back to the gym (back to simplify!). I've lost 10.6 lbs on my diet. I'm beginning to feel much better. I'd like to train to run in the Labor Day 5K here in town.
I need to use some fabric that I bought to sew for M. I have lots of ideas, but no time right now. Hopefully I can do that this summer so she can enjoy her sweet outfits.
Not much going on around here other than exhaustion from the end of school. I am excited about my new diet and the progress so far. I'll show you before and after pictures when I lose enough to make a difference! M and I are leaving town for a few days with my family. I'll post again when we get back!

I should take a lesson from you in being motivated! My diet could deinitely use some revamping.
Hope that you and M have fun on your trip!
I am with Maggie...ditto on the need to revamp that weight loss! Nat, I am so proud of you honestly...10 lbs. is a dress size just so you know! Also, completely know that end of the year exhaustion...feeling it myself. I plan on spending my first few days of real summer in a comatose state, just simply RESTING! Do not be too hard on yourself for the other things- your life is busy, yes, and you live like the rest of us from minute to minute, but you are young and M will learn to clean properly. However, think about all the more important things that you do with her...strawberry picking and bubbles...she's having an AWESOME childhood not spending every minute cleaning! It is important, but your home is NOT filthy or anything to be overly concerned about! By the way, if you get a housekeeper to come in I WILL BE SO JEALOUS! I told the husband (seriously) that he'd NEVER have to get me another gift if we could have someone come in twice a month! So far, that has not happened...needless to say, I haven't gotten a TON of gifts either (LOL) but so far, no housekeeper in sight. :(
Much love and support as you muddle your way through these challenges!
Have FUN on your trip...ENJOY!
Have fun!
Yay, you made it through another school year! Seems like this year has zoomed past. You have wonderful goals and great motivation. Enjoy your summer!
I jump on the bandwagon, and started a blog...I haven't had time to do much with it, just get it started. You are in charge of ALWAYS letting me know what you think- hehehehe
Barefoot Children in the Rain
You sound so much like I used to, always saying I 'should' do this and I 'should' do that except you say I 'need' to do this and that.
Mate you are doing a fine job. One thing at a time. M will not remember whether her house was messy or not but she will remember the time you spent with her. (I know this as I am reaping it now)
I know your drive, to fit as much as possible into life. If only we didn't have to sleep eh?
And how hard is it for us to be still and be with the Lord?
The one thing I have learned with advancing years is that there is no point beating yourself up. We are what we are and we have what we have whether that is time or a cleaner. Whose voice is in your head telling you what you 'ought' to be doing?
You have set yourself an admirable goal and you are still committed to it. Sometimes you have to concentrate on one area at a time. I think the weight loss is awesome and I applaud you mightily for that! Keep it up. When you lose weight you will feel better and have more energy to engage with the things that really matter in life.
So, now I'm off to the gym. hahaha
