By myself

*whispering*

I'm by myself today. In the past two years, 6 months, and 19 days, I can count how many times I've been in the house alone by myself. Not that I AM counting...I just could if I wanted to.

I've got a doctor's appt. today at noon. I debated about whether I should take M to school or just keep her with me. Last night she was talking about her friends at school, so I decided to take her today and enjoy a day alone.

YES! Best decision I've ever made!!!

I've been home 1 hour and 15 minutes and I have:
started a load of laundry
picked up the house
vacuumed the house
washed a load of dishes
folded a load of clothes
eaten breakfast

I'm going to take a shower (BY MYSELF!), go get a pedicure (some pampering is in order), run a few errands, see the doctor, and take a nap if I'm exhausted by the afternoon. Or I might clean up some more downstairs.

Why didn't anyone ever tell me about this little idea of shipping the kid off so I could actually GET SOMETHING DONE????

Sounds like a pretty nice day to me. Who ever would have thought that when you grow up being able to do things on your own would elicit a big cheer?!

I'm about to go to the grocery store...do I know how to have a good time or what?!

That is too funny! Oh how I wish I was in your shoes today... Enjoy that pampering. You deserve it!

I know! It is crazy! Of course, I can't remember the last day I was at home without KayTar around. LOL. But I imagine it is glorious.

sorry
I have so been here
What am I saying. Every time they leave I am soooooooooo STILL here :-D
I call it CFT. Child free time.
PS Don't for a minute imagine I would be without my children. I just really savour the time on my own and there's nothing wrong with that. Makes you a more sane person when they get back.
Happy to hear you sounding positive!!

You have just described exactly why this stay at home mom has her child signed up for school from 9-12 for 3 days a week. We NEED that time. And, yes... I say WE. I need the time away from Zoe and she needs the time away from me. I truly think it makes us both happier girls.

Yay for a NATALIE day! Today is MY day, too - the inlaws keep Nadia every Thursday, and it's wonderful for both of us. We need that time. And it truly is amazing how much can get done without a little one about!
