MBS

A glimpse into my future. On the surface I see my toddler talking to her daddy on my phone. In my mind, I see my teenager talking to her friends.

M will not understand life before cell phones and iPods. She'll have no concept of a time when you had to be at home to talk to your friends and family and you might have even been connected to the wall by a cord when you did that.

For other MBS, visit Mother May I?

Very cute and I feel the same way. Kids just love those phones, don't they? I am sure it was the same way for our parents and us. The world they grew up in was far different than ours.

They just keep growing bigger... and the world just keeps changing! I try to imagine what our grandchildren will grow up with that is totally different than what our children have. Progress is amazing.

I totally agree. You know, I can remember life without cell phones, what I don't remember is how I stood it, I almost hyperventilate when I realize I forgot my phone at home LOL. I would never dream of going on a trip or anything without a cell phone, yet once we drove cross country in an old clanker from kentucky to yellowstone, never thought nothing about it.

And how about first words that we NEVER learned like: Internet, cell phone, computer, DVD, video. Crazy!

Isn't it funny how different things are now? I remember that when I was little my parents had an old phone on the wall - with a cord and a ROTARY dial!

I remember life before cell phones, and it still amazes me how young some kids are when they get their own cell phone!

Ah yes, I see the same thing in my midseye when Nadia talks on the phone! Their world is so different than the one we grew up in.

Many "will nots" I had not stopped to think about.

M is so precious and so is this photo. But please, stop thinking ahead and enjoy the now. :)

You have done a great job on this photo Natalie; it's nicely framed or cropped, the black and white works well and you've caught her expression beautifully. I always think portait shots should deliver emotion as well as image and you certainly have with this.
