Here's the scene:
It's past M's bedtime. She's HYSTERICAL about everything. She wants her OB. She wants her Nona. I tell her we'll see Nona and OB in a week or so, tears instantly stop. I kiss her, she's PISSED again and the crying resumes. I put her to bed without a story.
The walls are shaking.SHAKING.with M's melodrama. I listen for about five minutes, then I stomp up the stairs to tell her to suck it up and GO.TO.SLEEP.
I open the door.
She's bellowing. Shrieking. She jumps up and grabs the side of the crib.
M: "I need to hol-ju-me. I need you-ki-me." (I need you to hold me. I need a kiss. )
Slight pause. Tears stop.
M: "I getabed now?" (I get out of bed now?)
Um, no. You're good, but not quite ready for the Oscars. Maybe in another few years.

And the Oscar goes to....M Benson! How silly that she has so perfected the beginnings of her manipulative tools at such a young age! Just prepare yourself; she will learn more and more! Ha, ha...(sorry for laughing at those future frustrations...Parenting only gets better. You will love every minute of it!
LOL. KayTar tries yawning followed by "Goo mornin, ereybody! I had a good sleeperin." Like maybe if she pretends like it is morning, we will somehow be fooled into letting her get up.
Oh... I'm sorry... but that's just hysterical.
Haha! What a little drama queen, that's hysetrical! It sure doesn't take them long to figure out how to try and "work the system" does it?!
Glad to hear I'm not the only one to stomp up stairs to make my point that its bedtime.
Welcome to my world.
I have done the one last kiss and hug thing many times. And no he couldn't get out of bed either! LOL!
