My Best Shot

I couldn't resist three images this week.
I saw the most amazing photography exhibit done by children over the weekend. They had such an eye for composition. I have to admit that I was a little jealous of their talent! But I also realized that sometimes I work a little too hard--too hard thinking about rules and light and busy-ness. My goal this week is to take more images of what feels good.

Oh definitely, sometimes the rules need to be broken. Love the series of shots of M. She is adorable! Looks like she is having fun getting dirty. ;)

So wonderful! #3 is my favorite, but I love the shadows in the first one, too. They're great in b&w...such a classic, timeless feel.

And I *totally* agree with you about letting go and just having fun with pictures. Sometimes I get so caught up in thinking about the "rules" that I miss the moment. Many of my favorite pictures aren't great technically, but the emotion that go with them are priceless.

Natalie, the pictures all look great! I have to say that the first one is my favorite. It's something about the shadow. I'm glad that M's back home and you guys can cuddle again.

I love your no thinking series of M. The first is my fave. She looks older...I know you did not want to hear that.

Oh, I'm sitting in a hotel room after midnight after finally getting the boys to sleep about thirty minutes ago. Geez.

Will let you know how the house search goes for the next two days...if I live.
